TBoy - Gildas Club

Photobucket This Year's company we have decided to pair up with is Gilda's Club of North Texas Their mission is to provide a warm and inviting home-like setting where men, women and children living with cancer — as well as their families and friends — can join with others to build emotional and social support as a supplement to medical care.

Completely free of charge and nonprofit, Gilda's Club offers support groups, networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events in a non-residential, home-like setting, that will give you the social and emotional support that you need.

Inspired by the late comedian Gilda Radner of Saturday Night Live fame, Gilda regained her gift of laughter and feeling of control when she joined with others living with cancer. This is a place where people with cancer and their families and friends learn to live with cancer, and hopefully beyond it. It is their lifeline to strength, hope and guidance. The effects are often life-changing.

Who can join?

Anyone who has been touched by cancer. That includes men, women, and children living with any type of cancer, and their family and friends. Gilda’s Club brings people together who are experiencing similar situations. Whether you’re looking for an understanding ear, a chance to laugh, or an informational resource, Gilda’s Club is the place to learn how to live with cancer, whatever the outcome. Gilda’s Club also welcomes long-term cancer survivors and those who have lost someone to cancer.

How do I join?

It’s a very simple process. First, you will attend a New Member Meeting. It’s an introduction to Gilda’s Club, where you will meet with others and learn about the program. We hold New Member Meetings several times each month, for upcoming meetings please call 214-219-8877
to reserve your place.
