Auditions this Saturday for Down the Road by Lee Blessing
We are very excited to be back at work! Together with L.I.P Service we are moving full speed ahead with our next show. We are looking for a female mid 30's to play the role of Iris Henniman. Iris and her husband Dan* have been commissioned to write the story of serial killer, Bill Reach*.
Although the play is brief it is not for the faint of heart. This is a very dark and edgy show. The content is certainly rated R.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Auditions are Saturday September 22nd from 2p-5p at Gallery at Midtown. Gallery at Midtown is located inside of Valley View Mall at 13331 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75240. Please call 817.689.6461 for audition times or email tumorboyproductions@gmail.com. Sides available upon request.
*The roles of Bill Reach and Dan Henniman have already been cast
Performance Dates:
Friday Nov. 2nd
Saturday Nov. 3rd

Worth the Hiatus
Well clearly Tumorboy Productions has been on a hiatus. Though we apologize for the temporary hold on our productivity, as a new mother, I can clearly say it's been worth it!!! I thought producing a play was hard work. I will never produce anything this spectacular. I've only been a mother for two months and I can without a doubt say that all mothers, (at least those that are willing participants), deserve a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT award. In fact I think when you're in the hospital and they hand you that precious bundle of joy, you should get to make an acceptance speech. Mine would be something like..
I would like to thank God for allowing Brad and I to be parents of this beautiful baby girl. Brad and I NEVER planned on having children and were taking preventative measures NOT to have them, but managed to get pregnant anyway. I would say that's clearly divine intervention. Thank you Brad for stepping up to the plate of Fatherhood when you could have easily walked away and had a midlife crisis instead. You not only beefed up your commitment to me (as if you needed to) but you took on the role of parenting like a method actor. I'd like to thank my mother for your willingness to guide me through this process as if I'm NOT a complete idiot...which I am. I'd like to thank my friends for your willingness to become the "village" that it will take to raise this child. Last but not least I'd like to thank my brother Bryon. You will always be an inspiration to me. There was a deep hole left in my heart when you passed away and then all of a sudden this little miracle showed up in my belly. I know you had something to do with that. It's fitting that I named her after you.
Tumorboy will be back up and running late summer or early fall. We are already cooking something up in the kitchen. But until then please forgive us as we transition from parents back to producers. Enjoy a picture of our latest production BRYON IRINA ALLEN.
See you soon folks!

Helping Out From Home
As a company devoted to helping others are thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the recent earthquake in Haiti. Although really as human beings we should all feel the effects of this tragedy. Since Tumorboy is not scheduled to produce another show until summer we have teamed up with one of our affiliates, SheeeSaid, to help with the disaster relief. We our encouraging our patrons, friends, and family to purchase a t-shirt from the SheeeSaid website. Some of you may feel like buying a shirt isn't going to make much of a difference, but trust me in times like these every dime counts! If you're like me, you can't just hop on a plane and head to Haiti, but take comfort that we can all do something right from home.
"GIVE HAITI HOPE” [only $12]Due to the recent tragic earthquake in Haiti, there are over 3 million people that need our help! SheeeSaid Clothing Company has made a commitment to help the people of Haiti and we want to encourage you to join us. In Memory: Leigh Tomlinson
Unfortunately Tumorboy Productions did not have the pleasure of meeting Leigh in this life but she inspired our company none the less. Leigh was a very special woman with a fondness for dogs. She wrote amusing poems about "Man's Best Friend" that we were allowed to use in our show Wit Humor and Just Plain Fun. Her words touched all of our hearts and we were honored to give life to them. Leigh lost her battle with cancer on this day two years ago. We want to thank her for bringing joy to our lives and the lives of fellow cancer warriors at Gilda's Club North Texas!
